Nurse Surgical

This private hospital is a 40 bedded acute hospital situated in rural Kent and on the boundaries of West Sussex. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including two operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days a week.

  Duties and responsibilities

• Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
• Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others
• Promote best practice in health and safety and security
• Assist in maintaining and developing services
• To provide advice, guidance and support to junior staff by maintaining professional standards to ensure the delivery of high quality care
• To deputise for senior staff when required

  Who we're looking for

Registered Nurse with current  NMC registration with previous surgical experience, good communication skills, excellent organizational skills and time management and the ability to work autonomously are all essential. Qualification in Mentorship and training in cannulation is  desirable.
